On March 23, I began a new adventure as the General Manager of the Crosshatch Meeting Place and Mercantile. Nearly two months in, it still feels surreal to me. I chose Bellaire as my home nine years ago and I feel so rooted and loved by our community. My art has always been a reflection of the Northern Michigan places that I love to explore. I’m over the moon for the way my new position will allow me to impact our local community, create opportunities for growth and learning, and support the livelihoods of area farmers, makers, and artists. This does mean that things will be looking a little different at Two Hoots Studio. Don’t worry, I’m still making art, albeit more slowly. I’ll still be around for my weekly hug quota at the Bellaire Farmer’s Market (now tabling for Crosshatch). I’ll still be making your favorite notecards and teaching some classes. I’ll continue to keep you posted on everything I get up to with Two Hoots Studio and let you behind the scenes of my new role as well. Thank you for all the support you’ve shown me over the past six years as I’ve poured my heart and soul into Two Hoots Studio and please join me for this new adventure!
